Hy-Vee once again to host Best of Local Brands Summit

As part of this year’s summit, Hy-Vee will work to identify suppliers with diverse backgrounds and is encouraging minority-owned and women-owned businesses to apply.

Hy-Vee’s Best of Local Brands Summit will return in March.

The West Des Moines, Iowa-based company shared that it will be expanding the summit to enhance the product offerings across its 285 stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

As part of this year’s event, Hy-Vee will work to identify suppliers with diverse backgrounds and is encouraging minority-owned and women-owned businesses to apply. The summit will consist of 15- to 30-minute virtual presentations on March 1.

Submissions will open on Jan. 9 for retail-ready products across the grocery, produce, deli, general merchandise, frozen, dairy, health and beauty care categories, Submissions will close on Jan. 23, the company said.

ECRM and RangeMe are helping the retailer source, qualify and connect with suppliers. All product submissions will be made through RangeMe and meetings will be conducted through ECRM’s virtual meeting platform, ECRM Connect.
