    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Meijer on Thursday opened a new 192,000-square-foot supercenter in Sturgis, Mich.

    "Opening this store has been a long time coming, and we're thrilled the day is finally here," CEO Hank Meijer said. "Sturgis has never had a one-stop shopping destination like Meijer, so we're proud to be the retailer to fill that void."

    The company, in conjunction with Brand Passport Inc., is making its famous Stroopwafels available throughout Chicago at specialty stores, major grocery stores, convenience stores and other retailers.

    OKEMOS, Mich. — Meijer on Monday held a ribbon cutting ceremony to open its newest health care clinic at its location here at 2055 W. Grand River Ave. The Sparrow FastCare clinic will offer walk-in services for minor injuries and common illnesses and is staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants from Sparrow Health System.
