    CHICAGO - The Female Health Company on Wednesday announced that it has entered into a definitive merger agreement with Aspen Park Pharmaceuticals, a privately held company focused on the development and commercialization of oncology and men’s and women’s health therapeutics and consumer health products. 
     
  • Pfizer introduces first and only biosimilar monoclonal antibody therapy

    NEW YORK - The United States Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday approved Celltrion’s Inflectra (biosimilar infliximab) across all eligible indications of the reference product, Remicade (infliximab). Inflectra is now the first and only biosimilar monoclonal antibody (mAb) therapy, and only the second biosimilar, to be approved in the U.S.
     
  • Lupin's GAVIS pipeline brings generic insomnia treatment to market

    BALTIMORE - Lupin Limited announced Tuesday that its U.S. subsidiary, Lupin Pharmaceuticals, has launched the first product from its GAVIS pipeline, Zolpidem Sublingual Tablets, 1.75 mg & 3.5 mg. The new entry is the generic equivalent of Purdue Pharma’s Intermezzo Sublingual Tablets, 1.75 mg & 3.5 mg. 
     
    Lupin received final approval from the United States Food & Drug Administration earlier, as well as final clearance from the FTC with 180 days of exclusivity.

    DEERFIELD, Ill. - Walgreens on Wednesday announced that MedM Health Cloud has now integrated the Balance Rewards API. 
     
    MedM has built a healthy activity cloud platform, allowing users to track everything from step tracking to blood glucose/pressure monitoring. Walgreens is bringing in an integration that stores healthy activities from more than 200 connected devices.
