    WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Dannon introduced Dannon creamery, a new brand of dairy desserts that takes inspiration from pudding and cheesecake. There will be five cheesecake-inspired options, which incorporate Greek yogurt with fruit sauces. The three pudding offerings are made with Grade A milk.

  • Vidalia Brands expands with new potato chips

    PHOENIX — Inventure Foods, a marketer and manufacturer of specialty food brands, announced the expansion of its Vidalia Brands snack food lineup with the debut of Vidalia Kettle Potato Chips — a premium chip featuring the sweet flavor of Vidalia onions.

    Consumers can choose from Sweet Onion and Sweet Onion Barbecue varieties. The chips are available in 4.5-oz. bags for a suggested retail price of $2.39 to $2.49 per package.

    MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Drchrono, a creator of a free electronic health record platform on the iPad, iPhone and cloud, has integrated Google Glass into its EHR platform to build the first wearable health record for physicians.

    For the first time, doctors can be hands-free while looking at medical records. The future of a doctor is one where they have an iPad, an iPhone, a laptop and Glass all connected through a mobile EHR platform so they can spend more one-on-one time with patients instead of processing paperwork, drchrono stated.

  • FDA approves Lannett's codeine sulfate tablets

    PHILADELPHIA — Lannett Co. received approval from the Food and Drug Administration for codeine sulfate tablets USP, a schedule II controlled substance, in 15 mg, 30 mg and 60 mg dosage strengths. It is the equivalent to codeine sulfate tablets USP 15 mg, 30 mg and 60 mg, from Roxane Labs.

    NEW YORK — WebMD Health Corp. on Monday announced the launch of WebMD Healthy Target, a health improvement program that gathers data from activity trackers, wireless scales and glucose meters to give consumers physician-reviewed, relevant content and tips that helps them stay on the path of a health-conscious lifestyle.

    Healthy Target can interpret step, sleep, weight and blood-glucose data from multiple device manufacturers — including Entra, Fitbit, UP by Jawbone and Withings — into useful insights, the company said.
