  • Greenstone adds Piroxicam capsules to generics line

    PEAPACK, N.J. — Greenstone announced the introduction of Piroxicam capsules to its generic pharmaceutical product line. The drug is offered in dosage strengths of 10 mg and 20 mg, and is the generic equivalent to Feldene.

    Piroxicam is intended for the relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. This new, authorized generic adds to Greenstone’s growing line of products, and is backed by the distribution and customer service support of Pfizer Inc., the company said.

     

  • All extends line of laundry pacs

    WILTON, Conn. — All laundry detergent, a brand from Sun Products, announced the extension of All mighty pacs with the introduction of All mighty pacs OXI. The pre-measured doses aim to simplify laundry by treating tough dirt stains in a single-dose pac, the company said.

  • Rexam launches recovery beverage

    CHICAGO — Rexam, a global beverage can maker, announced that its recovery drink, Formula O2, has hit the market. The beverage, available in Orange Mango and Grapefruit Ginger flavors, is infused with 10 times more oxygen than tap water, 2.5 times more electrolytes than sports drinks and also includes 140 mg of natural caffeine.

    Formula O2 was founded by three friends who grew tired of energy and sports drinks that claimed to help people, but were actually filled with unsavory ingredients. 

  • Dr. Reddy's launches generic version of Caduet

    HYDERABAD, India — Dr. Reddy's Labs announced that it has launched amlodipine besylate and atorvastatin calcium tablets, a generic version of Caduet.

    The Caduet tablets brand and generic had sales in the United States of approximately $163 million MAT for the most recent 12 months ended January 2014, according to IMS Health.

  • Sandoz launches generic Prevpac

    PRINCETON, N.J. — Sandoz announced the U.S. launch of lansoprazole capsules amoxicillin capsules, USP, and clarithromycin tablets, USP, the generic version of Prevpac.

    The drug is used to eliminate the H. pylori infection in patients with duodenal ulcer disease. It's comprised of amoxicillin and clarithromycin, which are antibiotic medicines, as well as lansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that helps decrease production of excess stomach acid, the company said.

    PLANO, Texas — Taking the celebrity fragrance market a whole new level, Cheetos brand spokes-cheetah Chester Cheetah is entering the fragrance market with the new Cheeteau, Frito-Lay North America has announced.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Renessence LLC has announced the launch of the Renessence Hair Renewal System, a plastic surgeon-formulated line that employs stem cell technology to battle hair loss.

    A three-step shampoo/conditioner/serum treatment, Renessence is formulated with a blend of proprietary renewal peptides that promise to stimulate hair follicle stem cells for new hair growth in as little as two months, according to the company.
