  • DenTek develops new Scrub Betweens dental pick

    MARYVILLE, Tenn. — DenTek has created the new Scrub Betweens dental pick to help remove plaque and food particles that get between teeth.

    The new Scrub Betweens is a soft scrubbing dental pick with thousands of microbristles. The micro toothbrush-like scrubbing tip glides between teeth, even in hard to reach back teeth, making it easier to remove food particles and reduce plaque build-up, which can lead to tooth decay and gum disease.

  • Jelly Belly unveils Disney-themed jelly beans

    FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Jelly Belly Candy Co. is launching a series of Disney-themed jelly beans, the company said.

    The jelly beans are available in 2.8-oz. bags featuring characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy.

  • Dove Hair Care celebrates launch of new Color Care collection

    ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever’s Dove is celebrating its new Color Care collection, which promises to keep colored hair vibrant for up to eight weeks, by premiering a new video short that celebrates the many meanings of color at the Dove Color Care Salon this weekend.

    The salon, part of the Talent Resources Gifting Suite open January 18 to 20, brings color to the winter white landscape of Park City's premiere film festival and marks the launch of the new Dove Color Care collection.

  • FDA approves sterile blood-plasma product

    SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Food and Drug Administraiton has approved a treatment for replacing clotting proteins in the blood for conditions in which patients have too little of them.

    The FDA announced the approval of Octapharma's Octaplas, a sterile, frozen solution of pooled human plasma from multiple donors that has been treated with a solvent detergent process.

  • FDA approves Flublok, a trivalent influenza vaccine not made with eggs

    SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday approved Protein Sciences' Flublok, the first trivalent influenza vaccine made using an insect virus (baculovirus) expression system and recombinant DNA technology.
