  • Van's Natural Food introduces new gluten-free cereal, breakfast & snack options

    VERNON, Calif. — Van's Natural Foods is starting off 2013 on a healthy note with a new line of cereals, crackers, snack bars for breakfast, snacking and on the go. All of the new products are packed with whole grains — including millet, quinoa and amaranth — and contain no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors or preservatives.

    Van's whole grain cereals offer a full serving of whole grains and 5 g of fiber per serving. The cereal is available in Honey Nut Crunch and Cinnamon Heaven for a suggested retail price of $3.99.

    NEW YORK — Fragrance development company Tru Fragrance has inked a new partnership with author, TV host, designer and eco-friendly lifestyle expert Danny Seo to develop and bring to market a line of beauty products.

    The line will include new concepts in fragrance and skincare, driven by partnerships with perfumers and global fragrance powerhouse, Firmenich.

    SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Four-time NBA champion John Salley will be heading here next week to attend the ECRM Vitamin, Diet and Sports Nutrition conference in support of Natural Product Solutions.

  • General Mills unveils high-fiber chocolate cereal

    MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills is introducing a new cereal that it said has more fiber than any chocolate cereal.

    The company announced the introduction of Fiber One 80 Calories Chocolate Squares, which will hit the shelves later this month while hiring Lisa Lillien, a dietary expert and author of the book "Hungry Girl" to help market the cereal.
