Old El Paso steps into soup aisle

Old El Paso is venturing outside its well-known taco kits with a new line of canned soups.
Available in five flavors, the Tex-Mex-inspired products are making their debut alongside a Cornbread Baking Mix, which comes in Southwest Style and Cinnamon Churro options.

Soup varieties consumers can choose from include:
- Chipotle Corn Chowder Soup: A smoky chipotle-based soup with corn that is infused with green sweet peppers;
- Chicken Cheese Enchilada-Style Soup: Featuring the cheesy goodness of enchiladas, the rich and creamy soup can be topped off with cheese and cilantro;
- Chicken Tortilla Soup: Made with a blend of chicken and vegetables that are simmered in a broth that features an array of spices;
- Mexican-Style Chicken & Rice Soup: Featuring chicken, vegetables, spices and rice in a broth; and
- Jalapeño Chicken Noodle Soup: Made with a balance of heat and flavors inspired by a jalapeño twist.
Consumers can find Old El Paso’s new soups available exclusively at Walmart for an SRP of $4.32 each.
