Pattern hair care is furthering its mission to fulfill the needs of those with curly, coily and textured hair.

The brand, which launched in 2019, has formally announced that its products will be part of the assortment available at the previously announced Ulta Beauty at Target initiative.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting partnership that marries Ulta Beauty’s distinguished expertise with Target’s ease and convenience,” Pattern founder, Tracee Ellis Ross said. “Ulta@Target presents a disruptive, new and more engaging way for us to connect with more and more consumers.”

In addition to that, the brand also announced two new appointments to its board of directors.

Michelle Ebanks, who served as the chief executive officer of Essence Communications, is joining the board, as is Anddria Clack-Rogers Varnado, the head of consumer business at Kohler.

“Anddria and Michelle are dream board members, bringing a dynamic mix of creativity, strong business acumen and proven experience that is anchored in consumer acquisition strategy. They are both highly respected leaders with a distinct passion for disruption that will help us to finally shift the industry’s narrative from Black hair care being considered a niche market segment, to one that embraces the $1.2 billion spending power of the Black consumer.” Ross said.
