  • AmazonFresh Pickup expands to more Prime customers

    SEATTLE — AmazonFresh Pickup, the online grocer’s drive-by grocery delivery service, allows Amazon Prime members to order groceries online and pick them up in as little as 15 minutes. The concept launched in March, with two locations in Seattle. Initially in a beta mode, the service was available only to Amazon employees. But as of May 25, it is now open also to Amazon Prime members in the general public. 
     
  • CHU Sainte-Justine opens pavilion honoring contributions of Coutu family

    MONTREAL — On May 24 the Coutu family were honored at the official opening of a pavilion bearing their name in the CHU Sainte-Justine's new Specialized Care Building. During a private, low-key event, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation expressed its gratitude for the special ties that have been forged with the family over the span of many years and for their outstanding contributions that have enabled Sainte-Justine to keep developing better ways to heal more children.

  • PQA enhances platform through three new hires and addition of executive fellow

    ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Pharmacy Quality Alliance on Tuesday announced three strategic hires and the installation of an executive fellow. Bill Lademann joins PQA as SVP strategic alliances and measure implementation; Irene Nsiah was named associate director research and analytics; Loren Kirk was named associate director member engagement; and Nicolette Mehas is joining PQA as its fifth executive fellow.

  • Food Lion to offer discount for military members, families on Memorial Day

    SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion will be celebrating Memorial Day this year by offering active and retired military personnel and their family a 10% discount, the retailer announced Friday. The discount will be available at all stores on May 29 for those who present their personal MVP card and military ID at checkout.

  • Ulta’s Q1 sees serious growth in online, in-store sales

    BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — Ulta Beauty came out of the first quarter starting gate strong, with earnings that easily topped Wall Street estimates and big increases in store and online sales. 

    While online sales are growing at a fast pace, the beauty products and services retailer isn't slowing down its store growth. It said it will open 100 new stores in its current fiscal year.

  • CVS Health Baseball Camp brings vets to Fenway Park

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVs Health and the Boston Red Sox helped veterans celebrate Memorial Day a little early this year. The CVS Health Baseball Camp marked its seventh year Thursday, bringing 20 veterans from Massachusetts and Rhode Island to Fenway Park in Boston to work with Red Sox hitting coaches one-on-one.

    Veterans got batting tips from Red Sox hitting coach Chili Davis and assistant hitting coach Victor Rodriguez, and were treated to lunch in the stadium, as well as a VIP tour and tickets to the evening’s game against the Texas Rangers courtesy of CVS Health.

  • Walgreens’ final 2016-17 Flu Index highlights top markets

    DEERFIELD, Ill. — With flu season winding down, Walgreens on Friday released its final Flu Index of the 2016-17 season, noting which markets saw the most activity based on aggregate prescription data between October 2016 and April.
