  • Nielsen integrates with RichRelevance through Nielsen Marketing Cloud

    NEW YORK — Nielsen on Monday integrated with RichRelevance through the Nielsen Marketing Cloud that enables retailers to deliver personalized ecommerce experiences.  With this retailers can leverage the power of Nielsen audience data, analytics and technology to engage more shoppers with better personalized content, product recommendations and search results, including those who have not previously shopped with the brand.  

  • Stop & Shop New York and New England divisions to merge

    QUINCY, Mass., and SALISBURY, N.C. — Ahold USA and Delhaize America unveiled plans to further strengthen their U.S. brands. This plan will be headlined by the merger of its Stop & Shop New York Metro and Stop & Shop New England Divisions into one brand organization.

     “Having a single brand organizational structure dedicated to Stop & Shop will strengthen the brand and will ensure it can better leverage its brand to serve the unique needs of customers in the different markets that Stop & Shop serves,” the company stated.

  • Walgreens taps key blog influencers to promote mobile app functionality

    DEERFIELD, Ill.  — Walgreens recently unveiled a three-pronged strategy to better engage its customers and patients through digital, including the marketing of user-generated content through hyper-local news outlets (both print and digital) and amplifying that original content through additional VIPs and social boosting.

    RICHMOND, British Columbia — As part of Heart Month in Canada, London Drugs pharmacists are hoping to boost public awareness of the risk factors and are encouraging Canadians to take preventative action by attending a Healthy Heart Clinic running Feb. 6 through March 23 at 68 London Drugs locations.

  • Costco expands Rx90 program

    ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Costco and EnvisionRx, the pharmacy benefit management division of EnvisionRxOptions, have partnered to expand Rx90, intended to improve care and reduce costs for people with chronic conditions.

  • Fred’s receives funding to purchase additional Rite Aid stores

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Fred’s Pharmacy received a $75 million increase in its revolving loan commitment from $150 million to $225 million. As part of Fred’s revolving loan credit agreement with Regions Bank and Bank of America, up to $15 million of borrowings under the revolving loan facility may be used to purchase up to 10 Rite Aid divested stores should the Walgreens Boots Alliance acquisition of Rite Aid be approved.
