    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health announced Monday that the opioid overdose-reversal medication naloxone is now available without a prescription at all CVS Pharmacy locations in Texas.

    The store in Savannah, Ga., hosted a grand opening celebration event that took place on July 21, hosted by Bluemercury founders Marla and Barry Beck. Bluemercury Savannah, at approximately 2,400 square feet, marks Bluemercury’s foray into a larger store size retail format.

  • Ahold, Delhaize Group expect to close deal by weekend

    ZAANDAM, the Netherlands - Ahold and Delhaize Group on Thursday announced that they expect to complete their intended merger on Saturday, July 23, 2016, if regulatory clearance has been obtained from the United States Federal Trade Commission by that date.
     
    Subject to completion of the merger on July 23, 2016, Ahold Delhaize is expected to start trading on Euronext Amsterdam and Brussels on Monday, July 25, 2016, with ticker symbol AD.

    The last trading date of the Delhaize ordinary shares on Euronext Brussels would be Friday, July 22, 2016.

  • Rachael Ray, Rite Aid announce $25K donation to Detroit's Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program

    CAMP HILL, Pa. - The Rite Aid Foundation's KidCents program announced Wednesday a $25,000 donation to the Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program, a Detroit-based nonprofit that empowers Detroit youth to be positive and productive members of society through education, athletics, mentorship and intervention.

  • NRF: back-to-school spending to reach $75.8 billion

    WASHINGTON -- With back-to-school spending on a “stock up” cycle rather than a “make do” cycle, total spending for K-12 and college school supplies is expected to reach $75.8 billion, up from last year’s $68 billion, according to the National Retail Federation’s annual survey conducted by Prosper Insights and Analytics.
