  • Target names new chief legal officer and general counsel

    MINNEAPOLIS -- Target has selected a Xerox veteran to serve as the retailer's next executive vice president, chief legal officer and general counsel.

    Don Liu will oversee all legal, corporate governance and government affairs matters for the company, efefctive Aug. 22. He will report to chairman and chief executive officer Brian Cornell and serve as a member of Target’s leadership team.

  • Report: Target opening smaller format in Maryland

    Target has picked Bethesda, Md., for another of the company’s small-format stores. According to WTOP, the 35,000-square-foot Target will open in the Shops of Wisconsin development in March with a “tailored product mix,” including groceries, clothing, home goods and a pharmacy. (WTOP)

    BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Florida-based Aubío Life Sciences, a new skin care company co-founded by U.S. businessman John Paul DeJoria, announced Monday that its flagship products Aubío Cold Sore Treatment Gel and Aubío Hydrating Lip Therapy are now available nationwide at Target stores and on target.com.

    DeJoria, the major investor behind Aubío, is world renowned for his part in developing the extraordinarily successful plant-based products of Paul Mitchell and Patron Tequila. 

  • MinuteClinic opens within 6 South Florida Target locations

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - MinuteClinic, the retail medical clinic of CVS Health, has opened six new locations inside Target stores in South Florida, the company announced Thursday. The clinics – located in stores in Boynton Beach, Davie, Deerfield Beach, Miami and West Palm Beach – have been rebranded and converted to MinuteClinic.

    There are now 28 MinuteClinic locations in South Florida, including clinics in select CVS Pharmacy stores and Navarro Discount Pharmacy.

  • Eight Dallas-Fort Worth-area Target stores outfitted with MinuteClinic centers

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - MinuteClinic, the retail medical clinic of CVS Health, has opened eight new locations inside Target stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

    There are now 50 MinuteClinic locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including clinics in select CVS Pharmacy stores.

  • Report: Target asks suppliers for help

    Target is reportedly requesting that many of its suppliers assume up to 3% to 5% more of the cost of promotions and price reductions on some items. According to Reuters, at least 12 Target suppliers have confirmed they were asked to pay for more of the promotional cost for a variety of slow-moving products. Target reported declining sales in its most recent fiscal quarter and publicly said it would likely enter an extended promotional period. (Reuters)

  • More consumers to get Steripod toothbrush protection

    LOS ANGELES – Personal care products brand Steripod has expanded the distribution for its market leading clip-on toothbrush protector.

    The product is now available in 30,000 stores across the United States, including for the first time at 6,000 CVS and 6,000 Walgreens stores. Additionally, Steripod has added 200 Meijer stores, Shopco Wisconsin locations and will roll out to 1,000 plus Kroger Group stores nationwide later this year.
