Publix recently announced that it has donated more than 33 million lbs. of produce to Feeding America member food banks through several charitable initiatives.
The companies said the partnership would initially focus on Walgreens Health Corner services, a personalized offering for Blue Shield commercial members.
The grocery giant reported total company sales of $31.7 billion in the second quarter, compared to $30.5 billion for the same period the previous year.
Walgreens has been focusing its vaccine equity initiative on addressing vaccine hesitancy and removing barriers to immunization access in rural and medically underserved communities.
