  • Rite Aid posts 23.1% Q1 revenue gain to $8.2 billion

    CAMP HILL, Pa. - Rite Aid on Thursday reported revenues of $8.2 billion, a net earnings loss of $4.6 million, or $0.00 per diluted share, adjusted net income of $14.5 million, or $0.01 per diluted share and adjusted EBITDA of $286 million, or 3.5% of revenues for its first fiscal quarter ended May 28, 2016.

  • Safeway expands Quest Diagnostics diagnostic testing offering to 12 locations

    MADISON, N.J. - Quest Diagnostics and Safeway are teaming up to offer diagnostic testing in 12 Safeway locations, in addition to the two locations currently operating in Arizona through Quest's Sonora Quest Laboratories joint venture with Banner Health, the companies announced Wednesday.  

    Quest Diagnostics will provide diagnostic testing services offered in company-branded Patient Services Centers in 12 Safeway locations in California, Colorado, Texas, Virginia and Maryland.

  • Cetaphil rolls out product display at CVS honoring Camp Wonder

    FORT WORTH, Texas -- Galderma, the makers of Cetaphil, is unveiling a limited-edition product display in partnership with the Children's Skin Disease Foundation (CSDF) and Camp Wonder, an initiative of the CSDF at 1,500 CVS stores.

    As part of the brand's five year partnership with the Camp Wonder program, Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream is being showcased exclusively at 1,500 CVS Pharmacy locations nationwide through June, honoring the memory of Camp Wonder camper, Samantha "Sammie" Smith.

  • Kroger Q1 ID sales up 2.4%

    CINCINNATI - Kroger on Thursday reported net earnings of $680 million, or $0.70 per diluted share, and identical supermarket sales growth, without fuel, of 2.4% in the first quarter of 2016. Kroger's net earnings during the first quarter last year were $619 million, or $0.62 per diluted share.

    SECAUCUS, N.J. - Vitamin Shoppe on Thursday announced that it has hired Jason Reiser as COO effective July 11, 2016.  As COO and a key member of the executive team, Reiser will have overall day-to-day responsibility for operational execution, including store operations, merchandising, supply chain and IT and for leading those teams through implementing the company's reinvention strategy.
