  • VTech expands line of educational children's products

    NEW YORK -- One of the world's largest educational toy-makers is bringing a new collection of products to store shelves.

    VTech announced it is expanding its educational toy lines. The new products are part of VTech's Baby, Infant and Preschool lines, the Go! Go! Smart lines and the Baby Amaze line.

  • Former Target chief merchant joins consulting firm

    SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Former Target executive Kathryn Tesija has joined CPG/retail consulting firm Simpactful as a senior adviser and consultant.

    Tesija spent 30 years at Target Corp., most recently as chief merchandising and supply chain officer. She will be a senior adviser and consultant for Simpactful, based in Minneapolis. 

  • CVS Health marking National Prescription Drug Take Back Day with several initiatives

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health is marking National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, this Saturday April 30, with the announcement that its Medication Disposal for Safer Communities Program has donated more than 500 drug collection units to law enforcement partners across the U.S., resulting in the safe disposal of more than 35 metric tons of unwanted medication to date.  
     
  • Target helps NatureBox move from snail mail to retail

    REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- One of America’s fastest growing food brands in the direct-to-consumer channel is expanding into 900 Target stores across the country. 

    Subscription snack box purveyor NatureBox plans to roll out to physical retail by launching its products in Target stores nationwide this month. The launch will feature a data-driven assortment of eight snacks chosen specifically for Target and new packaging designed exclusively for brick and mortar retail.

  • Supervalu 4Q sales down by 2.9% to $4 billion

    MINNEAPOLIS - Supervalu on Tuesday reported fourth quarter fiscal 2016 consolidated net sales of $4 billion, representing a decline of 2.9% as compared to the year-ago quarter. 
     
  • Walgreens makes naloxone available across 110 Alabama pharmacies

    DEERFIELD, Ill. - As part of its comprehensive national plan to combat drug abuse, Walgreens on Monday announced it has made naloxone, a lifesaving opioid antidote, available without a prescription in all of its Alabama pharmacies in accordance with state pharmacy regulations.
     
  • CVS Health converts 13 Target Chicagoland clinics to MinuteClinic banner

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - MinuteClinic, the retail medical clinic of CVS Health, on Monday opened its first locations inside Target stores in the Chicago area. The clinics located in 13 stores have been rebranded and converted to MinuteClinic. 
     
    There are now 56 MinuteClinic locations in Chicagoland, including clinics in CVS Pharmacy stores. Chicago is MinuteClinic's largest metropolitan market in the United States.
     
  • Former Family Dollar CFO joins Supervalu board

    EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Supervalu on Monday announced that experienced financial executive and corporate board member Mary Winston has been appointed to Supervalu's board of directors effective April 27, 2016.
