    PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway announced Monday a management change in the retailer's Seattle division.

    The company said Steve Frisby, will assume added responsibility of the division after the exit of the current president, Greg Sparks. Frisby, who joined Safeway in 1972, currently serves as the president of its Portland, Ore., division.

  • BioScrip's sales, profits increase in Q4, FY2011

    ELMSFORD, N.Y. — Specialty pharmacy provider BioScrip had sales of $483.3 million in fourth quarter 2011 and $1.8 billion in fiscal year 2011, the company said Friday.

    The company's fourth-quarter sales marked an increase of $32.9 million, while the sales for the year were $200 million over fiscal year 2010. Meanwhile, the company had profits of $6.7 million for the quarter and $7.9 million for the year.

  • Kroger declares quarterly dividend of 11.5 cents

    CINCINNATI — Kroger announced that its board of directors have declared a quarterly dividend of 11.5 cents per share.

    The dividend will be paid June 1 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 15.
