Wakefern Food, the parent company of ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, Fresh Grocer, Dearborn Market, Gourmet Garage and Fairway Market banners, is holding an open call to expand its private label offerings.
The Own Brands Supplier Diversity Summit is calling on diverse private label manufacturers to help the company source new and trending food and beverage products for a potential addition to its Bowl & Basket and Wholesome Pantry store brands.

Certified diverse private-label manufacturers and suppliers interested in participating in the summit can submit applications through RangeMe from Jan. 9 to 23 for an opportunity to attend a one-day summit in June 2023 at Wakefern’s headquarters.
“We are excited to expand on the success of our first Own Brands Supplier Summit,” said Bryant Harris, the chief merchandising officer at Wakefern. “We are particularly looking forward to meeting with a variety of diverse manufacturers to learn more about their unique products. At Wakefern, we know that embracing diversity fosters creativity and strengthens our product offerings and services.”
At the meeting, selected manufacturers and suppliers will be able to present their innovative products to a panel of executives, and the strongest offerings will be selected for potential addition to the company’s store shelves.
