Waterpik wants to help consumers clean their pearly whites without having to be weighed down by a cord.

To do just that, the brand is rolling out its new Ion water flosser, a full-size countertop product that offers all the benefits of flossing but in a cordless design.

Created to provide 90 seconds of continuous flossing without the need for refills, the product contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts up to four weeks per single charge, the company said.

“With a rich history in innovation and design, our goal is to constantly build upon our product portfolio and evolve our technology to meet and exceed consumer needs,” said Bart Prins, Waterpik's general manager. “We have heard from consumers, particularly those living in urban areas with limited counter space or outlet access, about the need for a cordless device that delivers the same premium experience as Waterpik countertop water flossers. In response, we created Waterpik Ion, the perfect combination of compact, cordless design and maximum power.”

Featuring 10 pressure settings that range from gentle to maximum power, each product also comes with a range of flossing tips, as well as an ergonomically designed handle with water on and off switch and a swivel base for use at any angle, the company said.

Available in black and white finishes, Waterpik’s Ion cordless water flosser retails between $89.99 to $99.99 on Amazon.com and at Best Buy, Target and Walmart.
