Australian Gold revamps its look, product formulations
Australian Gold is unveiling more than just a brand-new look.
The sun care brand also announced new formulations to its Classic line, as well as new additions in some of its already existing collections.
Part of the brand’s reformulation, as well as new launches, include the elimination of oxybenzone and octinoxate, which according to research have had a negative impact on coral reefs, and are becoming banned in many coastal cities and states.
In addition, Australian Gold also is launching a Sport Collection that ingredients that cater to all active lifestyles and extensions, as well as Botanical Tinted Face Mineral Lotions that match a variety of skin tones and undertones, are hypoallergenic and contain dermatologist-tested formulations, the company said.
“With the increase of scientific studies and the rise of social and environmental awareness, we saw an opportunity a few years ago to take action and began the process of reformulating our Classic line,” Kristen Steinbrook, associate director of research and development at Australian Gold said. “Since the conception of our new reformulation and the priority of minimizing the chemical activities utilized, Australian Gold has made huge steps forward towards expanding existing products and launching innovative collections, such as the Sport Ultra Chill and the new Botanical Tinted Face Mineral Lotions shades.”
As part of its packaging revamp, Australian Gold has maintained its koala logo, the dark brown label and use of gold accents, while also adopting a sleeker look, the company said.
“The skin and sun care categories are rapidly changing and our team proactively develops products that provide a superior experience and benefit to our consumers, all while keeping the planet and our ecosystem in mind,” Matt Cotton, CEO of Australian Gold said. “We are excited for the future of the brand and the evolution that we continue to make, keeping you and your loved ones protected while you celebrate life outside.”
