  • QuickChek opens new store in N.J.

    BUTLER, N.J. --- QuickChek is accelerating its growth plans by opening a new store in Butler, N.J.

    The Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based fresh convenience market chain has opened a new 4,542-square-foot store at 1268 Route 23.

    The new store will be open 24 hours a day, enabling customers to create delicious custom-made oven-toasted fresh subs, sandwiches, wraps and salads and personalized hot and cold beverages exactly as they want them, any time of day or night.

  • NACDS names winners of TSE Product Showcase

    BOSTON -- The National Association of Chain Drug Stores announced the winners of its Total Store Expo Product Showcase.

    Products ranging from health and beauty to seasonal items were on display in the “Product Showcase” on the exhibit floor. The showcase provided increased visibility for suppliers to market their products to retailers.

  • Hy-Vee honored for politcal action

    During the Political Involvement Reception at NACDS Total Store Expo on Saturday evening, Hy-Vee was honored for its engagement in the NACDS Political Action Committee with the Politically Engaged Pharmacy award.

  • Hallmark goes country in the greeting card aisle

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Hallmark has signed a new licensing agreement with the Country Music Association to bring music from some of the most popular country artists into the greeting card aisle.

    With this contract, Hallmark says it will leverage the prestigious CMA Awards brand to feature products using songs from CMA-member artists including Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Craig Morgan, Brad Paisley, and Carrie Underwood.

    ORLANDO, Fla. -- Martello has been named the winner of the 2016 ECRM/Drug Store News Buyers Choice Award for its Yummy Spoon, a self-feeding baby spoon designed to help parents easily feed their babies.

  • Kinney Drugs recognized as top National Wear Red Day fundraising company

    GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. – A Gouverneur-based, employee-owned company has bested a Wall Street company to be the No.1 fundraiser nationally for the American Heart Association’s Wear Red Day.

    Kinney Drugs, the drug store division of KPH Healthcare Services, Inc., received this top honor after raising $30,000 during their 2016 Heart Health campaign.  This donation edged out all other companies in the nation, including Wall Street financial firm Morgan Stanley, which ranked #2 with a donation of $29,969. 

  • Oralabs, Bulldog Skincare honored at ECRM personal care show

    Oralabs, a Parker, Colo.-based supplier of personal care products, has been named the winner of the 2016 ECRM/Drug Store News Buyers Choice Award for its Waterless by Gillette Venus female shaver.

    The award was presented during ECRM’s 2016 Personal Care, Grooming, Travel & Oral EPPS held July 10 to 13 in Orlando. London, U.K.-based Bulldog Skincare for Men was the finalist with its Original Beard Oil.
