  • Coca-Cola paves way for new president

    It has been announced that Coca-Cola has elected a new senior vice president and president of Coca-Cola North America, or CCNA. James L. “Jim” Dinkins, the current president of the Minute Maid business unit and chief retail office of CCNA, will be taking over for J. Alexander “Sandy” Douglas Jr., who previously announced his retirement.

  • Advocate, Aurora health systems to merge

    Two Midwestern nonprofit health systems are coming together to create what they say will be the 10th largest nonprofit integrated healthcare system in the country. Chicago-based Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care, which is based in Milwaukee, Wis. And is the parent company of Aurora Pharmacy, announced their plans to merge earlier this week. The combined company will be called Advocate Aurora Health, and serve nearly 3 million patients, the companies said.

  • Ahold Delhaize brings its U.S. companies together under new parent company, CEO

    Ahold Delhaize on Thursday named Kevin Holt CEO of its newly minted Ahold Delhaize USA division, which will serve as the parent company for all of Ahold Delhaize's U.S. companies, including its local brands, Stop & Shop, Food Lion, Giant, Hannaford, Giant/Martin's and Peapod, as well as Retail Business Services, the U.S. shared services company providing support to the brands.

  • Drive DeVilbiss names new CEO

    Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare earlier this week named Bob Gilligan to its CEO post. Gilligan comes to Drive from GE Industrial Solutions where he served in the same capacity.

    With the appointment, Harvey Diamond assumes the role of vice chairman for the Port Washington, N.Y.-based company, where he will serve as a senior advisor.

    On the heels of its appointing a new CEO, Teva is restructuring itself and naming new executives in an effort it said would create strategic alignment across its portfolio, regions and functions and drive profits as it continues to face headwinds.

  • Hy-Vee’s chief administrative officer retires

    After a 41-year career at Hy-Vee, the regional grocer’s vice chairman, executive vice president and chief administrative officer is retiring. As Andy McCann departs his position, the West Des Moines, Iowa-based chain has promoted Sheila Laing to the post from her position as chief human resources officer.

  • Rite Aid announces senior management changes across category management

    Camp Hill, Pa.-based Rite Aid on Friday named Bill Renz senior vice president category management, from his current role as group vice president of consumables and photo, in the wake of retirement announcements from Tony Montini, executive vice president of merchandising and distribution, and Bill Bergin, group vice president of health and beauty.
