  • Forgiven Bottling launches alcohol metabolizer in shot format

    LAS VEGAS — Forgiven Bottling Group earlier this month announced the launch of its alcohol metabolizer, Forgiven, formulated to help the body process alcohol more rapidly and thereby help alleviate ill effects associated with a hangover. 

    Forgiven's patented formulation includes organic acids, L-Cysteine and L-Glutamine, Rhodiola Rosea extract and vitamin B1. 

    Forgiven is launching the new shot format in three flavors: grape, orange and tropical punch.

    WASHINGTON — When it comes to making lifestyle choices, those who take dietary supplements seem to make healthier choices overall, compared with those who do not take dietary supplements, according to the most recent CRN Consumer Survey on Dietary Supplements from Ipsos Public Affairs on behalf of the Council for Responsible Nutrition.  

    Consistent with years past, the survey found that 68% of U.S. adults take dietary supplements, and those supplement users are more likely than non-supplement users to also engage in certain other healthy habits. 

  • Rite Aid sponsors sixth annual healthy-skin tour in July

    CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid will offer free informational resources in its stores and online on summer skin care, as well as sponsoring a cross-country tour offering full-body skin cancer screenings, the drug store chain said Wednesday.

    Rite Aid is partnering with the Skin Cancer Foundation for the program, which will last through July. A study published in the June edition of the Annals of Internal Medicine indicated that proper sun protection can keep skin looking younger as well as healthier.

    CARLISLE, Pa. — Free health screenings, a weight-bearing exercise and other activities will be featured at an upcoming diabetes fair sponsored by Giant Food Stores, the supermarket chain said.

    Giant, the Ahold USA banner based in Carlisle, Pa., and also known as Giant-Carlisle to distinguish it from fellow Ahold chain Giant Food of Landover, Md., said it would partner with Pinnacle Health, Capital BlueCross and the American Diabetes Association to offer the "Living with Diabetes" event at a Harrisburg, Pa., store.
