  • GPhA outlines key GDUFA II goals at public meeting

    WASHINGTON — On Oct. 21, the Food and Drug Administration held a public meeting on the reauthorization of the Generic Drug User Fee Amendments (GDUFA) II. At the meeting were various stakeholders, including the Generic Pharmaceutical Association’s SVP sciences and regulatory affairs, David Gaugh, who outlined the goals of GPhA and the FDA in negotiations over the second iteration of GDUFA. 
     
  • GPhA adds Francer as SVP, general counsel

    WASHINGTON — The Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA) announced Monday that Jeffrey K. Francer will be joining the organization as SVP and general counsel starting Nov. 14, reporting to GPhA president and CEO Chip Davis.

  • Unilever's Walgreens team accepts RSi 2016 Awards for Excellence grand prize

    MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Retail Solutions, Inc. earlier this week announced the winners of the RSi 2016 Awards for Excellence. The 1st Annual Awards program recognized seven key supplier teams based on their achievements with data analytics in the retail space. The award winners were supplier teams working directly with their respective retail leaders at Ahold, Target and Walgreens.

  • Election Stress Disorder? Consider NACDS RxIMPACT a cure

    The American Psychological Association last week released a finding from its annual “Stress in America” survey that more than half of adults in the United States feel very or somewhat stressed by the election. Republicans and Democrats are feeling this stress at similar rates. There is even talk of what is formally called Election Stress Disorder.

    NEW YORK — CHPA and the CHPA Educational Foundation will be holding the CHPA Educational Foundation Gala 2016 in New York City on November 14. The boards of both organizations will be in attendance at the gala, which will be held at the Rainbow Room, located atop 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

  • CADCA names CHPA CEO 'Humanitarian of the Year'

    WASHINGTON – The Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America honored Scott Melville, president and CEO for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, at its 18th annual Drug-Free Kids Campaign Awards Dinner held here last week.

    CADCA named Melville its Humanitarian of the Year for his commitment to addressing the complex issues of medicine abuse and misuse and for CHPA’s 10 years of outstanding partnership with CADCA.
