    CARLISLE, Pa. — This holiday season, customers and associates at Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets donated $656,349 through its annual Children’s Miracle Network Candles for Kids in-store campaign. 

  • Rite Aid rolls out more holiday deals

    CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid is putting out all the stops to help customers finish their shopping this holiday season.

    From now through Dec. 23, many Rite Aid locations will have extended shopping hours, convenient for picking up last minute holiday needs such as batteries, gifts, cards or baking supplies. 

    Rite Aid is also offering a wide variety of merchandise customers are looking for to successfully celebrate the holidays this year, including:

  • Walgreens debuts Beauty Beneath skincare supplement to U.S. shoppers

    DEERFIELD, Ill.  — Just in time for the holidays, Walgreens is bringing another beauty brand to American shoppers from across the pond. Beauty Beneath, a division of Boots and the U.K.’s No. 1 beauty brand is making its U.S. debut.

    Celebrity esthetician, Shani Darden, will act as a brand ambassador for Beauty Beneath through PR and social media platforms.

  • Target unveils more incentives for holiday shoppers

    MINNEAPOLIS — Target is offering last-minute deals and convenient Christmas Eve Order Pickup to help consumers wrap up their holiday shopping.

    Starting Dec. 17, Target shoppers can save on the most popular gifts and stocking stuffers in the last eight shopping days before Christmas. Additionally, shoppers can place online orders for same-day Order Pickup until 6 p.m. local time on Christmas Eve, and pick them up until the store closes. And, to cater to guests with last minute needs, the majority of Target stores are open until 10 or 11 p.m. on Dec. 24.

  • NFL stars get in the holiday spirit for Oberto Beef Jerky

    SEATTLE — All-Pro NFL players Rob Gronkowski and Richard Sherman are teaming up with Oberto Beef Jerky to launch a social media campaign designed to appeal to jerky-loving consumers. 

    The players will be hosting an ugly sweater social media contest, which will run online on Oberto’s Facebook page through Dec. 18, in celebration of National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day on Dec. 16.

  • BJ's Wholesale Club teams up with food bank as it opens 1st store in S.C.

    CHARLESTON, S.C. — BJ's Wholesale Club is donating $10,000 to the Lowcountry Food Bank in celebration of the opening of its first store in South Carolina.

    According to the retailer, the donation from the BJ's Charitable Foundation will help alleviate hunger in the community by supporting the food bank's acquisition of fresh, nutritious food during the holiday season.

  • New Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies to get nationwide distribution

    There's a new Pepperidge Farm Milano cookie coming to store shelves nationwide, and this one is perfectly suited for the cold winter months ahead.

    According to the Connecticut Post, the company has launched Toasted Marshmallow Milano cookies at Target and plans to roll out the flavor to retailers nationwide in January.
