    NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Just in time for back to school, It’s Academic has introduced RE:writes dry erase notes — thin, flexible notes that can be applied to nearly any surface and used again and again. Unlike traditional adhesive notes, RE:writes’ patent-pending plastic core doesn’t lose its grip, even when its surface becomes coated with dirt or dust.


    RE:writes can be cut to fit any surface. The product is available in a variety of color and size combinations with a suggested retail price of $5.99.

  • Design Weave launches dryer sheets to combat bedbugs, dusts mites

    JAMESBURG, N.J. — Design Weave USA on Wednesday introduced a patented anti-bedbug and anti-dust mite dryer sheet under the Rest Easy brand.

    According to the company, the dryer sheets naturally kill and repel bedbugs and dust mites. The dryer sheets are EPA exempt, according to the company.

    “The dryer sheets work in your dryer to add the protection from a micro-encapsulated process to your bedding, effective for a full week of protection,” Design Weave USA VP product development and marketing Dan Harris said.

    CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — Max Performance is the name of the new work glove from category leader MidWest.

    The company announced the new product introduction this week and design enhancements to the Max Performance line illustrate just how far the category of work gloves has progressed.

    The new product features a suede leather palm with padded palm patches, a spandex back, fourchette finger design and an elastic wrist, all of which are designed to provide a form-fitting, high performance product.

  • Scott Naturals names winner of four-week test drive promotion

    DALLAS — Scott Naturals has announced the winner of its nationwide promotion, which asked consumers to to pledge to try the Scott Naturals line of hybrid paper products for four weeks.

    The brand declared the state of Alaska as the winner and will donate $50,000 to be used toward local forest and land conservation efforts to the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, through the National Association of State Conservation Agencies.

    Scott Naturals also will be making a donation to New York due to the state's "overwhelming participation."

  • HDesign launches toilet paper replacement device

    MISSOURI CITY, Texas — HDesign has introduced a toilet paper replacement device.

    The EZ-I/O Changer uses the existing functionality of the typical toilet paper roller to its advantage. With the EZ-IO Changer, the toilet paper itself becomes the main object used to remove, replace, and install an empty (or full) roll of toilet paper; instead of holding onto the ends of the roller.

    DALLAS — The Army and Air Force Exchange Service and Marvel Custom Solutions on Thursday announced the 13th collaborative issue of an “Avengers” comic book, available only through AAFES locations.

    Marvel and AAFES have printed 1 million copies of the free comic book and currently are available at Exchange stores worldwide while supplies last.
