  • Gnu Foods introduces new bars

    NEW YORK — Gnu Foods has added three new additions to its line of baked Flavor and Fiber bars.

    The company said its blondie, blueberry cobbler and carrot cake bars combine flavor and 12 g of fiber. "With the introduction of these three new flavors, we're responding to consumer requests for more dessert-like choices. We created these 'guilty pleasures' without compromising our commitment to clean ingredients and great nutritionals," Gnu Foods founder Andrew Brooks said.

  • Dentyne debuts new flavor, Split2Fit pack

    NEW YORK — Dentyne is boosting its gum portfolio with the introduction of a new flavor and new packaging.

    Dentyne said its Ice Mint Frost flavor brings a unique profile to the Dentyne lineup of intense breath-freshening gums. The company noted the new flavor is supported by the new Split2Fit pack, which designed to hold one-third more pieces of gum by holding 16 pieces of gum (versus the 12-piece pack) and can be split into two smaller, sleeker and easier-to-carry packs.

    The company's lineup this year includes the Nestlé Crunch Paul Frank "Julius the Bunny" solid milk chocolate bunny, which will be exclusively sold at Target for a suggested retail price of $3.49. Other items include:

    • Nestlé Butterfinger bunny, which will carry an SRP of $3.49 per 5.5-oz. package;

    • SweeTarts gummies, which will carry an SRP of $2.49 per 14-oz. package;

  • Shock Top rolls out Lemon Shandy seasonal beer

    ST. LOUIS — Shock Top Belgian Wheat has rolled out its latest seasonal beer.

    Shock Top Lemon Shandy, a wheat beer complemented by spices and natural lemonade flavor with 4.2% alcohol by volume, will be available nationwide in six- and 12-packs of bottles and 12-packs of cans through July, the company said.

    AUSTIN, Texas — Doritos is rolling out a new product this month.

    The latest tortilla chips, Doritos Jacked, is 40% larger in size and thickness and will be available in two flavor combinations, Enchilada Supreme and Smoky Chipotle BBQ. The item debuted at the South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival.
