  • P&G outlines new social, global environment commitments at Clinton Global Initiative

    NEW YORK — At this year’s Clinton Global Initiative, Procter & Gamble unveiled three new initiatives that will benefit families around the world.

    P&G said the sustainability investments reaffirmed the company's "commitment to responsible growth." This year's initiatives include:

  • Boulder Canyon Natural Foods introduces vegetable crisps line

    PHOENIX — Boulder Canyon Natural Foods has unveiled its new line of vegetable snacks.

    New Garden Select vegetable crisps offer a blend of 12 vegetables and provide a good source of fiber in each serving, the company said. The crisps, which will be available in hearty cheddar, red ripe tomato and sour cream and chive flavors, will hit store shelves at select grocery chains nationwide later this fall in 5-oz. packages that retail for $2.99 to $3.49.

  • Sister Schubert's introduces soft pretzel rolls, mini baguettes

    COLUMBUS, Ohio — Sister Schubert's has boosted its line with the addition of two new restaurant favorites that can be enjoyed at home.

    The brand said that its soft pretzel rolls and mini baguettes feature a homemade taste, as well as convenience, baking in 7 minutes.

    Sister Schubert's soft pretzel rolls and mini baguettes come in 6-count bags and are available in the grocers' frozen section for a suggested retail price of $3.79.

  • Chobani's Shepherd's Gift Foundation announces $1 million pledge to Somalia famine relief

    NORWICH, N.Y. — Chobani announced that its charitable arm is pledging $1 million to support famine relief efforts in Somalia.

    Chobani said that the Shepherd's Gift Foundation will donate the funds to the Global Enrichment Foundation.

  • Entry deadline extended for Product of the Year USA awards

    NEW YORK — The world's largest consumer-voted program that recognizes innovation in consumer packaged goods has extended its entry deadline to Oct. 31.

    The Product of the Year USA awards — which honor consumer brands that participate in the survey conducted by custom research agency TNS — initially had an entry deadline of Aug. 31. The winners of these awards are given the opportunity to tout the Product of the Year logo on their packaging.

    Winners still be will announced in February 2012.
