  • Cat's Pride debuts Fresh & Light litter line

    CHICAGO — Cat's Pride has introduced a new line of clumping litter.

    The brand's new Fresh & Light litter features a premium clumping, low-dust formula that reduces tracking and absorbs odor-causing enzymes on contact, stopping odor before it starts. Additionally, the new litter blend is up to 25% lighter weight than other scoopable cat litters, the company said.

    Cat's Pride Fresh & Light, available multi-cat and fragrance-free formulas, can be found in the pet care section of Walmart stores nationwide.

  • Honest Tea shows off new look

    BETHESDA, Md. — Honest Tea has unveiled its redesigned labels for its PET line of Honest Tea and Honest Ade products.

    The new look, which began hitting store shelves this month, features a white background that highlights clean, vibrant images of the ingredients. The company said that the revised labels enhance its visual identity as the brand gains national distribution. The new labels are not reflective of any formula changes, Honest Tea said.

    ATLANTA — Not only are there fewer smokers across the country, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report released Tuesday, but the men and women that are still smoking also are smoking less.

    The report, which covered data from 2005 to 2010, showed an estimated 19.3% of American adults, ages 18 years and older, continue to smoke, a decline from 20.9% in 2005.

    NAPA VALLEY, Calif. — Wallaby Yogurt Co. has introduced two organic yogurt lines for kids.

    The new Wallababy organic whole milk yogurt for babies is available in banana and blueberry flavors and recommended for babies ages 6 months and up. The Joey organic lowfat yogurt for kids line is available in grape and strawberry flavors and recommended for children ages 2 years and older, Wallaby said.

    NEW YORK — Omega Water — a new water brand developed by Mycell Technologies and Nature's Way Pure Water Systems' joint venture Nature's Omega — brings together natural flavors and health benefits.

    Omega Water, touted as the first zero-calorie, flavored bottled water fortified with 100-mg of omega-3s and six essential daily vitamins, is available Lemon Squeeze, Orange Splash, Fruit Fusion and Berry Breeze flavors.

    Omega Water can be purchased at Duane Reade, Wegmans, Hy-Vee and Roundy's stores for a suggested retail price of $1.99.

  • Downy looks to break Guinness World Record in Canada

    TORONTO — Downy is seeking to break a Guinness World Record for the most hugs given in eight hours by a team.

    The fabric softener brand has enlisted Torontonians to come out for a chance to be part of the event, which will be held Sept. 3 at the Canadian National Exhibition. Downy ambassadors also will be on hand.

    If successful, Downy said it will donate $5,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada.
