  • Pampers dresses up baby's bottoms

    CINCINNATI — Pampers has introduced Prints, a limited-edition diaper line.

    Pampers limited-edition Prints are available in designs for both boys and girls, including floral and polka dot prints for girls, and argyle and toy car prints for boys. The diapers can be purchased at retailers nationwide through the summer and are available in sizes 1 through 4.

  • Pepsi Retro returns to store shelves in Quebec

    MONTREAL — PepsiCo Canada announced that its Pepsi Retro product, which made its appearance back in January in Quebec, has returned to store shelves for the summer.

    Pepsi Retro is a nod to its 1980s packaging and features iconic retro graphics. Consumers will find Pepsi Retro in stores beginning this week in 355-mL cans, 12-pack cases and 591-mL bottles, Pepsi said.

  • Gerber gets green light from FDA to tout health claim

    FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — A milk formula for babies made by Gerber Products can reduce the risk of atopic dermatitis, and Gerber has the Food and Drug Administration’s permission to say so.

    Gerber said Thursday that its Good Start milk-based formulas were the first and only infant formulas to meet the FDA’s criteria for a qualified health claim. The partially hydrolyzed formula may reduce a baby’s risk of developing atopic dermatitis in the first year.

  • HyDrive Energy introduces decaffeinated drink

    RYE, N.Y. — HyDrive Energy is gearing up to debut its caffeine-free energy drink.

    HyDrive Decaf is 100% caffeine- and taurine-free and contains 30 calories per 15.5-oz. bottle. The beverage is available in a Wild Peach variety.

    HyDrive Energy products can be purchased in more than 30,000 retail locations in 44 states and retail for a suggested price range of $1.49 to $1.79 per bottle.

  • Travalo holds fragrances for on-the-go consumers

    BETHESDA, Md. — The latest refillable perfume and cologne atomizer made for on-the-go consumers has hit the market.

    Travalo said its latest model, Travalo Excel, which will retail for $19.99, holds 30% more fragrance (65 sprays) than its original size, the company said. Travalo products, including its Pure and Classic products, retail from $9.99 to $19.99.

  • Tide's Loads of Hope makes its way to Joplin, Mo.

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble's Tide brand is bringing its mobile laundry program to Missouri to provide free laundry services to victims of the recent tornadoes in the area.

    Tide's Loads of Hope will arrive in Joplin, Mo., on Thursday and is encouraging residents and workers to drop off their laundry to be washed, dried and folded, free of charge.

  • New Energy-X chewing gum enters market

    LOS ANGELES — Pacific Shore Holdings has added a caffeinated, sugar-free gum to its Energy-X portfolio.

    New Energy-X chewing gum is available in a spearmint flavor and contains 55 mg of caffeine, the company said. The Energy-X line will expand to include a caffeinated gum that features 102 mg of caffeine and will be infused with green tea extract.

    The company currently markets Energy-X lip balm products and is slated to launch an Energy-X protein power bar.

  • J.M. Smucker officially raises coffee prices

    ORRVILLE, Ohio — J.M. Smucker officially has increased the list price for several of its coffee products.

    As previously reported by Drug Store News in February, the company announced that the price boost was driven by sustained increases in green coffee costs. Coffee products sold under the Folgers, Dunkin' Donuts, Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections brand names were impacted by an average of 11%.
