  • Aunt Jemima introduces new bite-size Lil' Griddles line

    PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Aunt Jemima Frozen Breakfast, a Pinnacle Foods brand, on Tuesday announced the new Lil' Griddles line of bite-sized frozen breakfast options.

    The new line comes in three varieties: Aunt Jemima Frozen Blueberry Mini pancakes, Aunt Jemima Frozen Original Mini pancakes and Aunt Jemima Frozen Cinnamon French Toast Sticks.

  • Demand for gluten-free food grows, study finds

    CHICAGO — The percentage of adults in the United States who say they want to reduce or eliminate gluten from their diets reached a new high this January, according to a new study.

    The NPD Group, a market research firm, has tracked efforts by Americans to reduce gluten intake since 2009, finding that 30% of adults claimed to cut down on gluten or avoid it entirely in January.

  • New Cape Cod potato chips trim the fat again

    HYANNIS, Mass. — Snack maker Snyder Lance has introduced a new Cape Cod brand potato chip flavor to its reduced-fat line of chips: 40% Less Fat Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper.

    Cape Cod's 40% Less Fat Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper chips are made with real sea salt and a blend of peppercorns, including a slightly sweet white pepper.

  • Gerber introduces meals for toddlers

    FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Nestle's Gerber division has introduced a line of mix-and-match foods for toddlers, the company said Wednesday.

    Gerber Products Co. announced the introduction of Gerber Graduates 2+ Kid Selects, designed to offer toddlers ages 2 years and older a range of protein, vegetable and grain options in order to help them make nutritious choices and master skills like the use of a fork and spoon.

  • MOM Brands adds new ready-to-eat cereals

    MINNEAPOLIS — MOM Brands today announced new additions to its brand portfolio with Spooners ready-to-eat cereals. The cereals come packaged in stand-up gusseted bags, which sit on the shelf like a box, yet contain 75% less consumer packaging waste than comparably sized bag-in-box, ready-to-eat cereals.

  • P&G co-promotes sleep with Downy and ZzzQuill for National Sleep Awareness Week

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble’s Downy and ZzzQuil brands have joined forces to help consumers create an environment that is conducive for falling asleep in time for National Sleep Awareness Week March 3 to 10. 

    According to a recent poll by the National Sleep Foundation, 1-in-4 adults report occasional sleeplessness with difficulty falling asleep at least a few times a week. 

  • Cheetos introduces Mix-Ups snack mixes; Chester Cheetah joins Twitter

    PLANO, Texas — Cheetos is mixing things up with its new Cheetos Mix-Ups snack mixes, which combine four Cheetos snack flavors in various shapes in one shareable bag. The brand, part of PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, also announced that its spokescat, Chester Cheetah, has joined Twitter as @ChesterCheetah and is asking fans to tweet their opinions of the new snack.
