  • Reader's Digest: CVS Health, Walmart top the list of most-trusted retailers

    NEW YORK — Leave it to the experts on matters of health, but on all other matters trust your spouse. That was the result of Reader's Digest second annual Trusted Brand Survey, which identified CVS Health as America's most-trusted drug store, Walmart as America's most-trusted mass merchandiser and Pharmavite's Nature Made brand as America's most-trusted nutritional supplement.

  • CVS Health approves quarterly dividend

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health on Thursday announced that its board of directors has approved a quarterly dividend of 42.5 cents per share on the corporation's common stock.

    The dividend represents a 21.4% increase as compared to the quarterly dividend of 35 cents per share approved one year ago.

    The dividend is payable on Nov. 3, 2016, to holders of record on Oct. 24, 2016.

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - More than 6,500 people from around the world registered this past weekend for the 2016 CVS Health Downtown 5k – a charitable sporting event that has brought a mix of Olympians, elite and other competitive athletes to Providence, R.I. for the past 27 years. Host to the USA Men's and USA Women's 5k National Championships, the CVS Health Downtown 5k provided races and inspirational events for participants of all ages and raised funds for charities throughout Southern New England.

    LANSDOWNE, Pa. — CVS Health earlier this month announced the 11th year of its Project Health initiative, which provides a series of free screenings to patients in those communities where complementary health services and the corresponding education consultations can have a significant impact on people.

    This year, CVS Health expects to provide hundreds of thousands of free biometric screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose and total cholesterol, across 10 multicultural markets.

  • CVS Health celebrates anniversary of ScriptSync, extends solution to mail order

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - One year ago CVS Health launched ScriptSync , a pharmacy service that prepares patients' eligible prescription medications so they're ready for pickup on the same day each month, at all of the company's retail pharmacy locations. In the past year, more than one million patients have been enrolled in ScriptSync at CVS Pharmacy and preliminary results demonstrate that the service, on average, improves medication adherence by between 5% to 10%.

    WASHINGTON - To help prepare the First Lady for life after the White House, Ellen DeGeneres, host of the popular daytime show "Ellen," took Michelle Obama to CVS Pharmacy to pick up a few things.

    It turns out, Ellen may have a few lessons to learn from the First Lady on proper shopping etiquette. During the shopping trip, Ellen opened product in the store and at one point shared a box of wine with fellow shoppers.

  • Washington latest state where CVS pharmacists can dispense naloxone without prescription

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health announced Wednesday that the opioid overdose-reversal medication naloxone is now available for patients without a prescription at all CVS Pharmacy locations in Washington.  Under a collaborative agreement with a physician in the state, CVS pharmacists can exercise prescriptive authority to dispense the medication.
