    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health on Monday expanded its commitment to preventing drug abuse among young people through investments in two prevention education programs.

    LANSDOWNE, Pa. — CVS Health earlier this month announced the 11th year of its Project Health initiative, which provides a series of free screenings to patients in those communities where complementary health services and the corresponding education consultations can have a significant impact on people.

    This year, CVS Health expects to provide hundreds of thousands of free biometric screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose and total cholesterol, across 10 multicultural markets.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - One year ago CVS Health launched ScriptSync , a pharmacy service that prepares patients' eligible prescription medications so they're ready for pickup on the same day each month, at all of the company's retail pharmacy locations. In the past year, more than one million patients have been enrolled in ScriptSync at CVS Pharmacy and preliminary results demonstrate that the service, on average, improves medication adherence by between 5% to 10%.

  • Washington latest state where CVS pharmacists can dispense naloxone without prescription

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health announced Wednesday that the opioid overdose-reversal medication naloxone is now available for patients without a prescription at all CVS Pharmacy locations in Washington.  Under a collaborative agreement with a physician in the state, CVS pharmacists can exercise prescriptive authority to dispense the medication.

    It turns out, Ellen may have a few lessons to learn from the First Lady on proper shopping etiquette. During the shopping trip, Ellen opened product in the store and at one point shared a box of wine with fellow shoppers.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. – CVS Pharmacy recently announced the launch of CVS Health Medication Timer Caps, available now online and in stores at a price of $9.99 for three caps. The adherence tools mark the newest addition to the signature brand line, CVS Health.

    Without any complicated timers to set or buttons to press, customers can now simply put the child-resistant cap on their CVS Pharmacy prescription to keep track of when they last took their medication.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health on Monday announced that it has partnered with the YMCA of the USA to help expand two programs that provide critical support to people across the country: the Diabetes Prevention Program and the nationally recognized LIVESTRONG Foundation at the YMCA program.

  • CVS Health's Project Health to deliver $8 million in free health services in 2016

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health on Wednesday announced the rollout of Project Health, its annual free health services campaign, at select CVS Pharmacy locations in 10 multicultural communities across the country. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 8 and running through Dec. 18, nearly $8 million worth of free health services will be delivered at more than 500 Project Health events.

    Since 2006, Project Health has delivered more than $112 million worth of free health care services to nearly 872,000 people, many of whom are uninsured or underinsured.
