  • Jari Love debuts new 'Get Ripped!' fitness workout series DVD

    CALGARY, Canada — A new fitness DVD featuring Jari Love's "Get Ripped!" workout series has made its debut.

    "Get Ripped! Revved to the Max" is an 80-minute fitness DVD that gives users the option to do two 30-minute workout segments of linked, fast-paced sets of compounded exercises or combine them into a 60-minute set.

  • Off! introduces new insect repellent products

    RACINE, Wis. — An insect repellent brand has revamped its product line.

    Off! introduced its latest innovation, Off! Deep Woods Dry, which offers comfortable protection in heavily wooded areas. The brand also introduced Off! Botanicals towelettes and lotions, which are made with a plant-based repellent that protects against mosquitoes, black flies, gnats and no-see-ums. What's more, the Off! brand has redesigned its Off! Clip-On mosquito repellent, which now is 25% smaller.

  • Charmin Sensitive part of Better Homes and Gardens' annual Best New Products Awards

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble's Charmin Sensitive was voted the best new bathroom tissue of 2011 in a study conducted by BrandSpark International and published in the Better Homes and Gardens magazine's third annual Best New Products Awards issue.

    The third annual Best New Products Awards are part of the magazine's June issue. Charmin Sensitive will be featured among the 42 winning consumer products in the categories of health and beauty, food and household care.

  • Bounce, Downy, Tide go retro

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble is taking its packaging for three of its laundry products to the past.

    The company said that its Bounce, Downy and Tide brands will sport a retro look for a limited time, giving a nod to P&G's past advertising for the products.

    Tide, Bounce and Downy vintage packages will be available at Target from May 22 through June 10. What's more, P&G will feature $1-off coupons for Tide and Bounce and 75-cent coupons for Downy in Sunday newspapers nationwide on May 29.

  • Philips introduces new LED light bulb

    PHILADELPHIA — Philips is slated to launch a new LED light bulb, which will premiere at the LightFair International trade show.

    Philips EnduraLED A21 17-watt bulb uses Philips' high-power, next-generation Luxeon LEDs and is designed to replace a 75-watt incandescent bulb, while reducing energy consumption by 80% and lasting 25 times longer, the company said. The light bulb also was developed to meet or exceed Energy Star qualifications for an LED-based replacement.

  • Kodak's board elects Augustin Melendez as VP

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eastman Kodak Co.'s board of directors has named a new VP.

    The company said that Augustin Melendez will take on his new role immediately. Since joining Kodak in 2000, Melendez has held multiple senior leadership roles in human resources. He currently serves as chief diversity and community affairs officer and human resources director for Kodak's graphic communications group.

  • Mega Bloks to launch Power Rangers Samurai toys next year

    MONTREAL — Mega Brands has entered a deal with Saban Brands to develop construction toys based on the kids' action series "Power Rangers Samurai," the latest Power Rangers franchise.

    The Mega Bloks Power Rangers Samurai construction toy sets will launch in spring 2012, Mega Brands said. Mega Brands chief innovative officer Vic Bertrand said the new toys will offer fans "an engaging and immersive building experience."

    New episodes of the "Power Rangers Samurai" series premiere Saturdays at noon on Nickelodeon.
