Lay’s takes taste buds on a trip with region-inspired chips

Lay’s is banking on nostalgia with its new chip drop, which includes flavors inspired by different regions across America.

Lay’s is banking on nostalgia with its new chip drop, which includes flavors inspired by different regions across America. 

Dubbed the "Flavor That Hits Home," the launches include the relaunch of four popular offerings. 

“As a leader in product innovation, Lay’s continues to bring fans delicious flavor experiences on a potato chip,” said Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing at PepsiCo Foods North America. “With the Flavor That Hits Home lineup, we’re helping fans taste the cherished dishes they know and love from their hometowns in an entirely new way, with the hope that every bite inspires fond memories of enjoying meals back home with family and friends.”

Returning flavors include: 

  • Lay’s Crispy Taco: Inspired by the West Coast, the chips contain flavors of ground beef, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and tomato; 
  • Lay’s BLT Sandwich: Inspired by the Northeast and Atlantic regions, it features notes of smoky bacon and tomato; 
  • Lay’s Fried Pickles with Ranch: Inspired by the South and Midwest, it contains flavors of dill, fried batter and ranch; and 
  • Lay’s Kettle Cooked Lime & Cracked Pepper: Made with a blend of citrusy lime, it also has cracked pepper notes. 

All of Lay’s Flavor That Hits Home potato chips are available at locations nationwide for a limited time.
