  • Teva's Synribo gets FDA approval

    JERUSALEM — Teva Pharmaceutical Industries on Thursday announced that the Food and Drug Administration has granted full approval of Synribo (omacetaxine mepesuccinate) for injection.

    The drug is indicated for adult patients with chronic phase or accelerated phase chronic myeloid leukemia with resistance and/or intolerance to two or more tyrosine kinase inhibitors.

  • Former Senators form Alliance to raise awareness of advances in telehealth

    WASHINGTON — Led by former U.S. Senate Majority Leaders Tom Daschle, D-S.D., and Trent Lott, R-Miss., and former Senator John Breaux, D-La., the Alliance for Connected Care has been launched to promote policy reform around telehealth and remote patient monitoring.

    Board members of the Alliance include CVS Caremark, Walgreens, Teladoc, HealthSpot, Doctor on Demand, Welch Allyn, MDLIVE, Care Innovations, Cardinal Health, Verizon and WellPoint.

    WATSONVILLE, Calif. — Nordic Naturals on Tuesday introduced Vitamin C Gummies, providing 250 mg of vitamin C. With a tart tangerine flavor, Vitamin C Gummies are chewable gummy slices for kids four years and older. The product is pectin-based, and free of gelatin, artificial colors, artificial flavors, preservatives and allergens, including gluten, milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts and soy.
