  • Coppertone tackles ink with Tattoo Guard to prevent fading, blurring

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Well-known sun care brand Coppertone has tackled a sun care need not often talked about — tattoos. For 2013, the brand launched its Tattoo Guard products to help protect against UVA and UVB rays that can fade or blur tattoos. Available as a lotion with SPF 50 or stick with SPF 50+, the formulas offer broad-spectrum protection and can help maintain the smooth appearance of tattooed skin. The lotion is ideal for larger tattooed areas, while the stick is great for precise, spot application.

  • Sprite launches new flavor to 'berry' up holidays

    ATLANTA — In its first flavor innovation since 2005, Sprite is launching all-new flavor Sprite Cranberry and Sprite Cranberry Zero.

    The new products will be available for a limited time through the holidays. Both products take the taste of traditional Sprite and combine it with a splash of sweet and tart cranberry notes.

During a recent press event in New York City featuring celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch, the skin care brand celebrated the new “design language,” which is designed to help unify the look and feel of Nivea — making it more prominent and easily recognizable at shelf.

  • Hisamitsu expands Salonpas brand

    TORRANCE,Calif. — Hisamitsu America’s Salonpas has been experiencing significantgrowth in the past year with sales up 38% to $43.1 million. Hisamitsu last year expanded the Salonpas brand beyond patches with the launch of Salonpas Pain Relieving Massage Foam and Salonpas Pain Relieving Jet Spray.

  • Physician, talk show co-host Travis Stork appointed to telehealth provider's advisory board

    SUNRISE, Fla. — Telehealth services and software provider MDLive has appointed a nationally known physician and talk show co-host as chairman of its medical advisory board.

    MDLive announced Wednesday the appointment of Travis Stork, who is co-host of the Emmy award-winning daytime talk show "The Doctors."

  • Neuro to launch six new flavors in 2014

    LOS ANGELES — Soft drink maker Neuro is launching new flavors in 2014, the company said.

    Neuro, which calls its products "functional beverages," said it would launch six new flavors — two each for its Sonic, Bliss and Sleep drinks — that will include new labels for the bottles. The six new flavors were refined based on a series of consumer tests and include blood orange, raspberry, mango and other flavors. The new flavors will hit shelves in January.

  • Oral-B wraps up nationwide oral care campaign with introduction of Deep Sweep power brush

    CINCINNATI — Oral-B on Thursday shared the result of their nationwide tour, the WOW Experiment — the Oral-B Deep Sweep power brush.

    Testing the Oral-B Deep Sweep 1000 power brush was a family affair at the Oral-B WOW event in Bainbridge Island, Wash., on July 28.
