    MONTREAL — Stayhealthy on Tuesday announced the selection of BroadSign International as the company's digital signage software provider as it deploys its network of HealthCenter kiosks across the United States. BroadSign will manage Stayhealthy's rapid content deployment and network operations. 

  • Prasco to distribute authorized generic treatment for tumor disorder

    CINCINNATI — Prasco Labs has signed a deal with WellSpring Pharmaceutical Corp. to market an authorized generic version of a drug for a rare tumor disorder.

    The company announced Wednesday the distribution and supply agreement for phenoxybenzamine hydrochloride capsules in the 10 mg strength for pheochromocytoma, an adrenal gland tumor disorder. The drug is used to control episodes of hypertension and sweating associated with the disorder.

  • Teva introduces generic bronchospasm drug

    NORTH WALES, Pa. — Teva Pharmaceutical Industries has launched a generic inhaler used to treat bronchospasm, the company said.

    Teva announced the introduction of levalbuterol inhalation solution. The product is a generic version of Sunovion's Xopenex and is available in the 0.31 mg, 0.63 mg and 1.25 mg strengths.

    Various versions of the drug had sales of $438.8 million in 2012, according to IMS Health.

    NEW YORK — Syneron Beauty has announced the launch of the Pearl Brilliant White Ionic Teeth Whitening system, which according to the manufacturer, features its patented ionic technology — the first new at-home teeth whitening technology to be cleared by the FDA in more than a decade.

    In a clinical study, the system was shown to provide maximum whitening results of up to 10 shades after 50 minutes of treatment with virtually no sensitivity, the company stated.
