    HOUSTON — Minute Maid has launched two new juice drink flavors.

    Made with real fruit juice, fruit punch and strawberry passion are the latest delicious additions to Minute Maid's Juices To Go portfolio — the portable, on-the-go package from Minute Maid.

    Fruit punch and strawberry passion juice drinks from Minute Maid will be available at convenience, drug and grocery stores nationwide this month.

  • P&G adds new 'so you can rest' medicine to its portfolio

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble on Monday officially announced the introduction of ZzzQuil, a sleep aid addition to its Vicks NyQuil and Vicks DayQuil brands.

    “ZzzQuil not only helps reduce the time it takes for a person to fall asleep, but [also] allows them to sleep soundly so they can wake up rested and refreshed,” stated Dave Tomasi, marketing director of North America for Vicks. “It is a sleep-only solution that delivers effective relief to consumers suffering from occasional sleeplessness.”

  • Nature's Hand introduces on-the-go snack for granola lovers

    CHICAGO — Nature's Hand has introduced a single-serve pouch of granola that features all-natural ingredients.

    GoNola, available in Maple Pecan Madness and Wild Blueberry Wave, is made with 100% whole grain oats that are toasted and blended with wheat, nuts, seeds and honey.

  • Plum Kids line makes debut this month

    EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Plum Organics is expanding its business into the organic kids snack category.

    Plum Kids contains more than 30 organic options, including such new and innovative pouch products as organic Greek Yogurt Mashups and Morning Mashups for on-the-go breakfast (which carry a suggested retail price of $4.99), Crunch'ola bite-sized snacks (which carry a suggested retail price of $3.99) and Fruit & Veggie Shredz (which carry a suggested retail price of $3.99).   • FDA approves MenHibrix

    PHILADELPHIA — GlaxoSmithKline has received regulatory approval from the Food and Drug Administration for a vaccine designed to prevent invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups C and Y and Haemophilus influenzae type B.

    MenHibrix (Meningococcal Groups C and Y and Haemophilus b Tetanus Toxoid conjugate vaccine) is approved for use in children ages six weeks through 18 months. The vaccination schedule is a four-dose series given at two, four, six, and 12 through 15 months of age.

  • Stiefel acquires eczema remedy currently in phase-3 trials in the U.S.

    LONDON — Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline company, on Monday acquired the eczema remedy Toctino (alitretinoin) from Basilea Pharmaceutica.

    “Toctino is an important and growing product that complements the Stiefel portfolio and offers a proven therapy for patients with a significant unmet medical need," stated Simon Jose, Stiefel president. "This acquisition gives us an immediate opportunity to develop and expand the availability of this new and innovative product of value, and reinforces Stiefel and GSK’s commitment to dermatology.”
