  • Hershey products go red, white and blue for Team USA

    HERSHEY, Pa. -- Iconic candy brand Hershey is unveiling new, patriotic-themed packaging on some of its most popular brands as excitement for builds for the 2016 Olympic Games.

    For the first time in the history of the bar, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar will be swapping out its traditional silver lettering to red, white and blue.

  • Arizona, Texas top Walgreens Flu Index 'most active' list for 2015/2016 season

    DEERFIELD, Ill. - With flu activity winding down in the U.S., Walgreens on Friday announced the top markets and states for flu activity for the season, according to its season-ending Walgreens Flu Index examining aggregate prescription data from Nov. 2015 through mid-April 2016.
     
    The states with the highest rates of influenza, according to the Index, were Arizona, Texas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee.

  • Emergency delivery of lifesaving medicine inspires ABC fundraiser supporting rare disorder research

    CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. - The AmerisourceBergen Foundation and AmerisourceBergen associates on Thursday announced two donations totaling $32,000 to support rare disorder research. The donations were awarded to the Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders and the National Organization for Rare Disorders, two non-profit organizations devoted to identifying and treating rare disorders through patient services and education, advocacy and research programs.
     
  • CVS Pharmacy offers nonprescription naloxone to New Hampshire residents

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health announced Thursday it has made the opioid overdose reversal medication naloxone available without a prescription at all CVS Pharmacy locations in New Hampshire. CVS Health has established a standing order with physicians in New Hampshire that allows CVS Pharmacy to expand access to the medication in the Granite State.  
     
  • Access to care provision part of CMS’ Medicaid managed care final rule

    ARLINGTON, Va. – The National Association of Chain Drug Stores on Wednesday praised the Center for Medicare & Medicaid’s inclusion of network adequacy standards — which would improve patient access to care in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program — in the Medicaid and CHIP Managed Care final rule the agency released on April 21.
