    ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever has introduced the U.K. facial skin care brand, Simple, to the U.S. market with the launch of Simple Sensitive Skin Experts. The collection is touted as the only mass facial skin care line specifically for those with sensitive skin.

    The collection is comprised of 13 items and includes cleansers, moisturizers, eye care products and wipes. The suggested retail prices range from $5.99 to $12.99. The Simple brand has more than 50 years of heritage in the United Kingdom.

    SUPPLIER NEWS — Salon Grafix has launched its new Healthy Hair Nutrition product line, which consists of a conditioning cleanser and intensive hair repair masque. 


    According to the company, what makes Healthy Hair Nutrition unique is that it primarily uses botanical ingredients, such as Camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract, which tones and protects the scalp, and Geranium maculatum (Geranium leaf extract), which helps to repair dry, damaged hair, as well as restore balance to oily hair.

    LOS ANGELES — Freeman Beauty has acquired Eclos, a skin care line infused with plant stem cells that stimulate skin's own stem cells to enhance a more youthful look, and C. Booth, a collection of skin care and bath products.

    Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

  • New CeraVe SA renewing lotion exfoliates to help battle 'chicken skin'

    BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Coria Labs, a division of Valeant Pharmaceuticals North America, is expanding its line of CeraVe moisturizers and cleansers with the new CeraVe SA renewing lotion.

    As with all CeraVe products, the newest formulation features ceramides to help restore, repair and maintain the skin barrier. However, this product goes even further with the addition of salicylic acid and ammonium lactate to help loosen and exfoliate dead skin cells. Vitamin D is also present to help keep skin looking smooth and hydrated.

  • Jack Black develops new Dry Erase face cream

    DALLAS — Jack Black has introduced its newest star product, Dry Erase Ultra-Calming face cream, available in February at select retailers and online.

    Dry Erase mimics the structure of natural skin lipids by locking in essential moisture and helping to repair and replenish skin's natural protective barrier. The formula boosts the skin's defenses by reducing redness, fine lines, flakiness and tightness, while also aggressively fighting signs of aging, the manufacturer stated.
