  • Reader's Digest: CVS Health, Walmart top the list of most-trusted retailers

    NEW YORK — Leave it to the experts on matters of health, but on all other matters trust your spouse. That was the result of Reader's Digest second annual Trusted Brand Survey, which identified CVS Health as America's most-trusted drug store, Walmart as America's most-trusted mass merchandiser and Pharmavite's Nature Made brand as America's most-trusted nutritional supplement.

  • Walmart expands payment partnership

    As the battle between Walmart Canada and Visa over interchange rates rages on, Walmart Stores is making more strategic moves with Chase. 
     
    Walmart will now process credit and debit payments on ChaseNet, the bank's closed-loop network, across its 5,000-plus Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in the United States, and on the Sam’s Club e-commerce site. Chase already processes payments for Walmart’s e-commerce channel.
     
  • Rite Aid Q2 revenues up 4.8% to $8 billion

    CAMP HILL, Pa. - Rite Aid on Thursday reported a revenues increase of 4.8% to $8 billion for its second quarter ended Aug. 27. The Pennsylvania chain also recorded net income of $14.8 million, or 1 cent per diluted share, adjusted net income of $35.5 million, or 3 cents per diluted share and adjusted EBITDA of $312.7 million, or 3.9% of revenues.

  • CVS Health approves quarterly dividend

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health on Thursday announced that its board of directors has approved a quarterly dividend of 42.5 cents per share on the corporation's common stock.

    The dividend represents a 21.4% increase as compared to the quarterly dividend of 35 cents per share approved one year ago.

    The dividend is payable on Nov. 3, 2016, to holders of record on Oct. 24, 2016.

  • CVS Health expands Curbside pick-up service to 4,000 locations

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. —  CVS Health will be offering curbside pickup through its partnership with Curbside at more than 4,000 locations beginning Monday, following a successful pilot launch across  San Francisco, Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, according to reports.

  • Albertsons looks to MyWebGrocer for click-and-collect, delivery at 5 banners

    BOISE, Id. — Albertsons announced this week that it would be partnering with e-commerce and digital marketing company MyWebGrocer to use software within its Digital Experience Platform to enable the company’s e-commerce strategy at some of its banners. 
     
    Five Albertsons banners — Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, United, ACME Market and Star Market — will be using MyWebGrocer’s solutions to ramp up the launch of their click-and-collect and delivery options. 
     
  • Walmart: 5 reasons why the Jet.com deal makes sense

    BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Wal-Mart Stores on Monday announced completion of the company’s acquisition of Jet.com, following expiration of the waiting period under federal regulations. The news was initially shared on Instagram by Walmart president and CEO Doug McMillon.
