  • CVS, Walgreens and Walmart each ace Disability Equality Index

    WASHINGTON — CVS Health, Walgreens and Walmart each received a perfect score of 100% on the 2017 Disability Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to disability inclusion and workplace equality, administered by the U.S. Business Leadership Network and American Association of People with Disabilities.

  • CVS Health’s Accordant gets NCQA disease management accreditation for 18 conditions

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health company Accordant has received NCQA Patient and Practitioner Oriented Disease Management Accreditation, the company announced Wednesday. The disease management accreditation was given for a number of Accordant’s  programs providing services to patients with rare chronic disease and other conditions on behalf of health plans, government-sponsored plans, labor groups, employers and third-party administrators, and covers 18 conditions, including epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, HIV, Crohn’s disease and others.

  • CPSC presents Walgreens with award for medication disposal program

    SAN DIEGO — The California Product Stewardship Council this week presented Walgreens with the 2017 Infinity Arrow Award for Service and Take Back in recognition of the company’s Safe Medication Disposal program. The disposal program, launched last year, is the first ongoing national effort of its kind by a retailer to combat the national drug abuse crisis, the company said.

  • Winners of NACDS TSE Product Showcase announced

    SAN DIEGO — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores today announced the winners of the Product Showcase at the 2017 NACDS Total Store Expo.

    Products ranging from baby care to home health care were on display in the Product Showcase in the Exhibit Hall. The Product Showcase provides increased visibility for exhibiting suppliers to market their products to retailers. Evaluated by the retail attendees, winners of this year’s Product Showcase are:
