  • CVS Pharmacy gets URAC Community Pharmacy reaccreditation

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — URAC has reaccredited CVS Pharmacy in Community Pharmacy, the company announced Thursday. The accreditation is the result of the CVS Pharmacy demonstrating a commitment to quality care, improved processes and better patient outcomes, and encompasses all CVS Pharmacy, Longs Drugs and Navarro Discount Pharmacy locations.

  • Second class of PQA-CVS Health Foundation Scholars announced

    ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Pharmacy Quality Alliance and the CVS Health Foundation have announced the 2017-2018 PQA-CVS Health Foundation Scholars as the program enters its  second year. The program is aimed at fostering student engagement in performance measurement and quality improvement. 
     
  • Crown Laboratories, Attitude win DSN/ECRM Buyers’ Choice Awards for sun care

    ORLANDO — Crown Laboratories won the ECRM/Drug Store News Buyers Choice Award for its Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen during ECRM’s recent Sun Care EPPS. Attitude was a finalist for its line of natural sun care products.
     
    The two companies were selected from dozens of entries in the award program, samples of which were displayed in the ECRM hospitality area during the EPPS meetings. Buyers cast their votes based on product innovation and packaging.
     
  • APhA Foundation names 2017 Pinnacle Award honorees

    WASHINGTON, DC — The American Pharmacists Association Foundation has announced the three recipients of the 2017 Pinnacle Awards. The awards, established in 1998, celebrate significant contributions to the medication use process through increased patient adherence, reduced adverse drug events, use of national treatment guidelines, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing communication among all members of the healthcare team.

    SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Pharmacy technology provider QS/1 has been certified by the Qualified Integrators and Resellers Program, the company announced Monday. The company has met the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard qualifications for a secure installation and continued maintenance of payment application systems.
