  • Kroger’s longest-tenured associate to retire

    WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Kroger’s longest-tenured employee is ready to pass on that mantel. Larry Arnold, 79, a Kroger associate for 63 years, will retire at the end of February.

    Arnold, currently a dairy clerk at Pickerington Marketplace in Ohio, started with the company in 1953, when a week before his 16th birthday he accepted a job as a clerk at the former Market Street store in Zanesville, Ohio.

    HERSHEY, Pa. — Hershey’s incoming president and CEO, Michele Buck, has chosen key members of the executive leadership team, the company announced Thursday. The leadership team — a combination of promoted executives already with Hershey and a hire from Unilever — also will comprise four top Hershey executives continuing on in their current roles.

  • Heritage Pharmaceuticals names Scott Delaney president

    EATONTOWN, N.J. — Specialty generic pharmaceutical company Heritage Pharmaceuticals announced Tuesday that it had named Scott Delaney to the position of president, effective March 1.
     
    Delaney, who has 24 years of generic and branded pharmaceutical experience, joins the company from Edenbridge Pharmaceuticals, where he was chief commercial officer. Prior to Edenbridge, he worked as Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceuticals’ president and CEO. He has also held various leadership positions at Teva, USA and H-E-B, as well as Eli Lilly.
  • Trump nominates Acosta for Labor Secretary post

    WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump nominated Alex Acosta as his choice for Labor Secretary, according to several news reports.

    Acosta served as assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division under President George W. Bush, selected by the president in August 2003. He was also a member of the National Labor Relations Board and served as Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division. Most recently, he was the dean of Florida International University College of Law.

    VALLEY FORGE, Pa. — The newly established North Texas chapter of CEOs Against Cancer has a new chairman in AmerisourceBergen EVP James Frary. In the volunteer position, he will focus on various issues facing working professionals across the northern half of the state. He will direct the chapter to address the impact of cancer on the workforce, including improving employee health, workplace productivity and health care costs.

    DEERFIELD, Ill. — Linda Filler, Walgreens Boots Alliance president retail products and chief merchandising and marketing officer, will be departing the retailer effective April 1.
