  • CVS Pharmacy unveils Black Friday, Cyber Monday deals

    With Thanksgiving days away, so are Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and CVS Pharmacy has shared the deals that will be available to its ExtraCare members this year. The Woonsocket, R.I.-based retailer said it will kick off a three-day Black Friday sales event on Thanksgiving Day to run through Nov. 25, and hold flash sales every day Nov. 26 through Dec. 2 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. for the week of Cyber Monday.

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Kmart Pharmacy may now become a favorite for Medicare Part D members in 2018. The company has announced it will be providing pharmaceutical needs to patients that include copays as low as $1 when filling their prescriptions.

    Medicare Part D members are being encouraged to enroll in Kmart’s free Pharmacy Rewards program, and those who are already Shop Your Way members can get $5 FREECASH points whenever a prescription is filled.

    ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The number one Halloween candy in America by Hershey, Reese’s has unveiled its newest product. The Reese’s Outrageous Bars. Debuting next year, caramel and crunchy Reese’s Pieces candy will be surrounded by peanut butter covered in smooth milk chocolate.

    The candy bar made its official debut at the Royal Oak, Mich., annual Spooktacular celebration. Noted for its legendary holiday celebrations, the brand decided there was no better time or place to sample the product.

    NEW YORK — Budweiser is taking its consumers back in time with its latest launch. The limited-edition 1933 Repeal Reserve Amber Lager is brewed from a pre-Prohibition recipe created by Adolphus Busch that didn’t see distribution beyond St. Louis, Mo., due to the 18th Amendment.

  • National digestive brands see mixed sales results

    The upper gastrointestinal proton pump inhibitors segment saw a 9% decrease — national brands only — in sales in multi-outlets for the latest 12 months compared with the previous year, with losses primarily driven down by large decreases at Procter & Gamble’s Prilosec OTC (-13%) and for GSK Consumer Heathcare’s Prevacid (-15%).

  • Gillette partnership brings ‘Justice League’ gift packs to shelves

    BOSTON — Men’s grooming brand Gillette is rolling out new superhero-inspired gift packs and a heroic new marketing campaign as part of its partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures’ forthcoming “Justice League” movie.

    The partnership kicked off with a new TV spot highlighting Gillette’s efforts to move beyond providing “The Best a Man Can Get” and offering a shave that’s “The Best a Superhero Can Get.”
