  • Rite Aid rolls out more holiday deals

    CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid is putting out all the stops to help customers finish their shopping this holiday season.

    From now through Dec. 23, many Rite Aid locations will have extended shopping hours, convenient for picking up last minute holiday needs such as batteries, gifts, cards or baking supplies. 

    Rite Aid is also offering a wide variety of merchandise customers are looking for to successfully celebrate the holidays this year, including:

  • Lilly, Boehringer Ingelheim launch Lantus follow-on Basaglar

    INDIANAPOLIS and RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — Eli Lilly and Co. and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals on Thursday announced the launch and availability of their Basaglar. The drug is a follow-on insulin to U-100 insulin glargine Lantus and is a long-acting insulin with an amino acid sequence identical to that of Lantus. 
     
  • Smirnoff unveils newest addition to hard seltzer category

    NORWALK, Conn. — Smirnoff giving consumers another choice when it comes to bubbly for their holiday parties.

    The brand has launched Spiked Sparkling Seltzer, a premium malt beverage that is the newest addition to the hard seltzer category -- but with fewer calories than the leading hard seltzer brands currently on the market.

  • Target unveils more incentives for holiday shoppers

    MINNEAPOLIS — Target is offering last-minute deals and convenient Christmas Eve Order Pickup to help consumers wrap up their holiday shopping.

    Starting Dec. 17, Target shoppers can save on the most popular gifts and stocking stuffers in the last eight shopping days before Christmas. Additionally, shoppers can place online orders for same-day Order Pickup until 6 p.m. local time on Christmas Eve, and pick them up until the store closes. And, to cater to guests with last minute needs, the majority of Target stores are open until 10 or 11 p.m. on Dec. 24.

  • Poll: What would Americans do rather than be sick over the holidays?

    NEW YORK -- Nearly three-quarters of Americans (73%) do not  believe coughing is an indicator of sickness. In fact, there are more Americans who are inclined to believe that ghosts (47%) and aliens (43%) are real than there are Americans who acknowledge that a cough is a harbinger of a cold or flu, according to a recent Harris Poll commissioned by Pfizer's Robitussin brand.

  • For National Influenza Vaccination Week, Rite Aid offers $5 flu shot discount

    CAMP HILL, Pa. -- From Dec. 5 through Dec. 17, Rite Aid customers will be able to save $5 on their flu shot in support of National Influenza Vaccination Week, the company announced Monday.

  • CVS encourages flu shots during National Influenza Vaccination Week

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — It’s not too late to get a flu shot.

    CVS Pharmacy and MinuteClinic are encouraging consumers to get their flu shot during the week of Dec. 4-10, which is The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Influenza Vaccination Week. Vaccination Week, established by the CDC in 2005, is intended to emphasize the importance of getting vaccinated as the holiday season begins.

  • Industry praises Congressional support behind TRICARE pilot program in NDAA

    ARLINGTON, Va. —  In the past week Congressional leaders passed the final National Defense Authorization Act that includes the industry-supported “Pilot Program for Prescription Drug Acquisition Cost Parity in the TRICARE Pharmacy Benefits Program.”
