  • CVS Health introduces latest campaign benefiting Stand Up To Cancer

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - CVS Health on Tuesday launched an in-store fundraising campaign at CVS Pharmacy locations nationwide to benefit Stand Up To Cancer, a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, that supports innovative cancer research that gets new therapies to patients quickly to save more lives.

  • Bloomberg: Organic Gatorade is here

    PepsiCo Inc. is introducing a version of Gatorade that’s certified organic by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. According to Bloomberg, the company is now selling strawberry, lemon and mixed berry G Organic in Kroger supermarkets and plans to expand the rollout to other retailers over the next few weeks. The suggested retail price for the new drinks is $1.69 for a 16.9-ounce bottle. (Bloomberg)

  • Coupon usage — print and digital — rises

    Consumers aren’t ready to let go of print coupons.

    A majority (58%) of respondents reported using more print coupons over the past year, according to the 2016 Purse String Survey by Valassis. Thirty-eight percent of respondents said the same about mobile coupons and 32% are using online coupons or coupon codes more often.

    Nearly half of the respondents indicated they use six or more coupons per shopping trip with 27% using 10 or more coupons. By using coupons, 42% of those surveyed save $30 or more each week and 21% save $50 or more.

    NEW YORK — New research from Experian Marketing Services points to five strategies that brands and retailers should implement to boost marketing plan performance during the key holiday shopping season.

    According to Experian's Q2 2016 Email Benchmark Report, marketers should consider the quality of subscriber data obtained during acquisition, social media, creative content, email personalization and retention strategy.

  • Survey: Hispanics rely on phones to make back-to-school choices

    Three-quarters of Hispanic shoppers in the U.S. will make back-to-school purchase in stores, but which ones will be strongly influenced by their mobile marketing offers.

    A survey of 500 Hispanic consumers conducted by mobile ad platform Retale found nine out of 10 saying they’d be using their smartphones to shop and that their dollars would be put toward the best deals.

    WALDEN, N.Y. -- Leading hard cider brand Angry Orchard is introducing a less sweet, easy-drinking cider.

    The brand's new Easy Apple offers drinkers a refreshing hard cider option in the Angry Orchard core collection that's both lower in calories and sessionable. The cider will be introduced in 6-packs beginning in August. Easy Apple will also be available nationwide in the Angry Orchard Fall Orchard Sampler Variety Pack.
