  • Bartell collects teddy bears for children's campaign

    SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs is collecting donations of teddy bears to give to children in stressful and traumatic situations, the Seattle-based regional retail pharmacy chain said Monday.

    Bartell said it would work with local radio statement Warm 106.9 FM in the annual "Teddy Bear Patrol" campaign, which will take place through March 30. The chain's 58 stores will collect donations of $7 "Bartell Bears" or new or gently used bears smaller than 12 in.

    LOS ANGELES — Nicole by OPI will produce three custom nail lacquer shades for Kellogg's Special K starting in April under a partnership with the cereal brand.

    Nicole by OPI said shoppers will have the opportunity to receive three full-size bottles of its nail lacquer by signing up for the Kellogg's Family Rewards program and entering codes from specially marked boxes of Special K products while supplies last.

    FAIRFAX, Va. — ThinkGeek's GeekLabs on Wednesday announced the launch of four votive candles scented to evoke special memories, from a pizza arcade to a high school locker room.

    "You always see candles that take you on 'exotic journeys'," staid Ty Liotta, chief of GeekLabs. "We wanted to create something more accessible. Something that every geek will relate to."

  • Tums Freshers voted 2013 Product of the Year in the OTC relief category in TNS survey

    PARSIPPANY, N.J. — GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare North America on Wednesday announced that its Tums Freshers was voted 2013 Product of the Year in the OTC relief category as part of a survey of more than 50,000 people conducted by global research firm TNS.
