  • Duncan Hines introduces Frosting Creations

    PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Duncan Hines is looking to stir up dessert possibilities by unveiling a new proprietary frosting system.

    Frosting Creations are created by pouring one of 12 flavor combination mixes — including cinnamon roll, cotton candy, chocolate mint, strawberry shortcake, chocolate almond, bubble gum, orange crème, mocha, chocolate marshmallow, white chocolate raspberry, cherry vanilla and caramel flavors — into a specially formulated frosting starter.

  • Peeps introduces rainbow pops

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Peeps is turning its marshmallow chicks into a new treat.

    New Peeps rainbow pops includes a yellow, green, pink or blue chick featured on a lollipop stick. The four individual colors are vertically nestled on a stick in one package, the company said.

  • Jelly Belly to introduce Gummi Pet Cockroach candy

    FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Jelly Belly has expanded its Gummi Pet line with a new addition.

    Gummi Pet Cockroach will join Pet Rat, Pet Gator, Pet Dinosaur and Pet Tarantula this June. The candy is created with two different flavors: one for the "legs" and the other for the "body." The Gummi Pet Cockroach candies will be available in blackberry and cherry, grape and lime, and orange and blackberry.

  • Endangered Species Chocolate to unveil new packaging

    INDIANAPOLIS — Endangered Species Chocolate has updated the packaging for its products.

    The company said the new packaging will focus on highlighting the quality of the product inside, while still continuing to highlight the heart of the company's 10% "give back" mission. Along with the new look, the packaging also will feature updated animal plight facts, enhanced animal images and graphic elements, along with information about the company's on-the-ground work in Ecuador with the Endangered Species Chocolate Foundation.

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Murad, whose skin care products are sold at such retail locations as Sephora and Ulta, has been named the official skin care partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2012 baseball season.

    Murad will be providing skin care tips and sun protection advice along with product for the baseball team’s players and fans, with giveaways and promotions during all daytime home games throughout the 2012 regular season.
